Statement was founded in Paris in 2018 by Amélie Huynh, who trained at a prominent house on the Place Vendôme before starting her own label, born from a passion for art and a desire to make a statement, at once monumental and ornamental. The house treats jewelry as a way to express individuality. Pieces are cast using the lost wax technique, with artisans spending up to 70 hours on a single work. Most designs are set in recycled gold with G-VS diamonds sourced from a diamantaire that signs the Kimberley Process.
