Pamela Zamore moved from interior design and decorative arts collecting into jewelry around 2014, working from Boston. The house works in 18 karat yellow gold, cast and finished by a small team of jewelers in Rhode Island, home to two centuries of jewelry making. Its signature is a sandblast finish applied by hand to each surface, lending every piece a matte, textured quality. Drawing on Egyptian reliefs, gallery and museum visits, and vintage Italian gold jewelry, the designs favor bold, sculptural shapes over polished convention.
