Bottega Veneta

Known for building recognition into construction rather than a logo, Bottega Veneta was founded in 1966 in Vicenza, Italy, when Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro opened a leather goods workshop in the Veneto region, long a center of Italian leatherworking. The house centers its design on intrecciato, a technique of weaving narrow strips of leather into a structured surface that became its signature. Headquartered in Milan, the house named Louise Trotter creative director in January 2025, succeeding Matthieu Blazy, continuing a design language built on woven leather rather than logos.
