Ashlyn was founded in New York in 2020 by designer Ashlynn Park, who trained in pattern making in Seoul and Tokyo before working at Yohji Yamamoto and Alexander Wang. The label was built as a response to overproduction, with Park directing each collection toward zero-waste construction and a studio discipline to respect time, people, and the environment. Pattern-making methods honed in Japan are paired with Western draping, producing modern tailoring where cutting and construction, not surface decoration, minimize material waste.
