Givenchy

Givenchy was founded in Paris in 1952 by Hubert de Givenchy, who built his debut collection of separates around clean lines and understated elegance, breaking from the excesses of postwar fashion. The house's early codes include the Bettina blouse, a white cotton shirt named for the model Bettina Graziani, and the ease that defined Givenchy's long design partnership with Audrey Hepburn. Sarah Burton, appointed creative director in 2024 after twenty-six years at Alexander McQueen, now directs both womenswear and menswear from the ateliers at Avenue George V.
