Founded in Paris in 1830 by Charles Christofle, the house built its name on precious metalwork, mastering the trades of spinning, embossing, carving and engraving that still define its workshops today. Production remains entirely handmade, with pieces passing through the hands of artisans the house calls Master Goldsmiths, living guardians of techniques transmitted from teacher to student. Beyond tableware, Christofle has long extended this craft into jewelry and home accessories, carrying the same hand-worked tradition into each object it produces.
