Lapointe was founded in New York City in 2010 by Sally LaPointe and Sarah Adelson, who met while studying fashion at the Rhode Island School of Design. Self-taught and without industry training, Sally LaPointe built the house on the idea that fashion need not be complicated or unattainable, pairing color and texture to create a direct visual statement. Sarah Adelson oversees operations, a partnership that has kept the label's point of view consistent since the brand's founding. The house remains headquartered in Soho, New York.
