Carol Han Pyle spent her childhood in her mother's candle shop on the water in San Francisco, watching fragrant pillars being hand-dipped and carved. A second-generation candle maker, she founded Nette in New York in 2021. Pyle treats scent as a language: every Nette fragrance begins as a poem she writes to capture an emotion. The name comes from the French word for impeccable, elegant and clean, values the house applies to everything it makes. Nette now makes eaux de parfum alongside the candles where it began.
