Rizzoli

Rizzoli New York traces its publishing history to 1964, when the Rizzoli Bookstore opened on Fifth Avenue; the publishing house followed in 1974, producing illustrated books on fashion, interior design, culinary, art, architecture, and photography. In 1990, a companion imprint joined the roster, extending the list into popular culture, photography, and design. Museum and exhibition titles appear under the imprint Rizzoli Electa, produced in collaboration with Italian sister company Mondadori Electa. The house remains known for image-forward volumes on design and visual culture.
