A native of Buffalo, New York, Adam Lippes studied psychology at Cornell before training at Ralph Lauren and becoming one of the youngest creative directors at Oscar de la Renta in 1996. He founded his own house in New York in 2004, renaming it Adam Lippes in 2014.
