Burc Akyol launched his label in Paris in 2019, drawing on know-how gained in French luxury houses. His clothes are genderless and pair two ideas that seem opposed, sex appeal and austerity, shaped by personal experience and his Ottoman heritage. The label works in cashmere yarns, virgin wools and French and Italian silks, sourced locally from Lyon, Paris or northern Italy. Production is made to order to avoid overproduction and leftovers. Pieces are made in his studio in the 8th arrondissement or with manufacturers in Paris and northern France.
