Darts at the waist release into a full palazzo leg, so the trouser holds a flat front and then widens without interruption to the hem. The Prince of Wales check is the same tailoring cloth the season's tuxedo cape and vest are cut from.

Wrap a strip of paper around the base of the finger, mark where it meets and measure the length in millimetres. Match it to the circumference column. Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are slightly larger.
