Woven at a high density, the broadcloth here holds a firm hand and a clear, even surface. Yohji Yamamoto sews the shirt throughout with a chain stitch, then garment-washes the finished piece so the seams draw in and lift a three-dimensional texture across the body and sleeves. The shape is a standard big shirt, cut generously through the shoulder and chest.

How to measure

Wrap a strip of paper around the base of the finger, mark where it meets and measure the length in millimetres. Match it to the circumference column. Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are slightly larger.
